Photo Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark is the third waterpark in the Schlitterbahn family of Texas parks.

Splash into one of the Hottest, Coolest Times in Texas! The newest Schlitterbahn park features uphill water coasters, water slides, kid's playgrounds, whitewater rapids, wave pool, hot tubs, plus the Boogie Bahn surf ride. And the exclusive Transportainment river system makes Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark the ultimate family destination. The summer season offers more than 32 family-friendly attractions.

In 2007: The park added Blastenhoff! The new area features seven new attractions, more picnic tables, more lounge chairs, more shade and more guest amenities. The massive Blastenhoff expansion increased the park’s guest areas by almost 30%.

With its huge array of awesome aquatic adventures, Schlitterbahn Galveston Island can be your personal happy place!

Following the tradition of ride innovation that Schlitterbahn is known for, the new Galveston Island park is the first convertible waterpark with an entire area that can be opened or closed for indoor / outdoor year-round operation. During the Heated Indoor Season, the Wasserfest area is converted to an indoor waterpark and features a dozen heated attractions. (The water and air are always in the 80s!) Wasserfest was voted the #1 Indoor Waterpark in America!

Taylar8/11/2008 11:50:00 AMMe and my family went and we had TONS of fun!!!Although some of the lines take longer than others, but i belive it was worth the wait. And the wave pool was AWSOME it makes you really feel like you in the ocean with big waves we enjoyed our selves! And i also recommend going after 3p.m the lines get shorter and the sun will be going down a tad bit! And its great for the kids cause all the water is 3ft and under! GO GO GO !
William8/10/2008 10:26:00 PMWe went there today, and we had a blast it was amazing. We went after 3 so there was a discount. The ride wait time was only 10 minutes. It was crowded but I enjoyed all the people. (F.Y.I. It was Sunday)
Courtney7/29/2008 12:00:00 PMMy boyfriend and I went after 3, there were a few good things about doing that. First of all there is a discount and we noticed a lot of people leaving, so the lines were not as long and it wasnt as hot. We stayed until the park closed at 8. I would recommend going at 3!
Laurie Potter7/15/2008 9:08:00 AMWe had a good time at the park however there are few items of concern. The Park is not as clean and well kept as I would have thought for a park that is only 3 years old. Most important though is there is a very danger hazard at the entrance to the white water rapid ride. The entrance from the lazy river is a drowning waiting to happen. When the park is crowded it gets to congested. People and tubes pile up and I got pushed up under the people and tubes and against a wall under water!. I had to fight my way out and I am a grown woman. A small person or child could get trapped very easily and drown. The park gets very overcrowded and I believe past safe capacity.
Burl Sowers6/10/2008 3:29:00 AMMyself and my family had a blast there was hardly a line to the rides
poop5/13/2008 10:55:00 AM2 many lines u need to make them faster
